Goff Groundwater Science Ltd. is a groundwater consulting firm located in the beautiful Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. GGS Ltd. has over 35 years of experience in groundwater resource development and management. After graduating from Western Michigan University, Mike worked in South Florida doing water supply projects for agriculture and public water supply using desalination treatment. He moved to California and worked for two years on surface water recharge, wellfield management and water supply projects. He worked for 13 years in Las Vegas managing technical aspects of the country’s largest direct injection artificial recharge system, basin groundwater management for the Las Vegas Valley and exploration of northern areas for additional groundwater supply. He moved back to Florida joining Schlumberger Water Services for 2 years in the areas mining industry before transferring to the United Arab Emirates. He worked out of Abu Dhabi, for about 2 years, on a variety of projects including an exploration/production well for a bottled water plant in Karachi, PAK, groundwater rise problems in Al Ain, UAE and pump testing and modeling of two geothermal wells in Abu Dhabi. In the beginning of 2012 he transferred to Riyadh, KSA to work on various projects including ASR behind dams and construction of water supply production wells up to 2,400 m deep. In early 2014 he joined Beca in Auckland and then Tauranga, working on a variety of water supply development and coastal water management projects.

In 2020 Mike left Beca to start his own consulting company, Goff Groundwater Science Ltd., delivering professional water resource consulting services to New Zealand and global clients.
